Our family run business was established more than thirty years ago by Andrew Simpson. Over the years he built up an enviable reputation locally and in 2006 was a Regional Winner of the Federation of Master Builders’ Builder of the Year Awards. Mark studied Construction Management at Leeds University and graduated in 2009 with First Class Honours. Although he consequently received offers of employment from a variety of major construction companies nationwide, he made the decision to join Andrew so that, together, they could take Simpson Construction to the next level.

With a large and impressive portfolio of completed projects and many satisfied customers, we find the majority of our work comes through recommendation and word of mouth – which to us is the greatest compliment.

We have a reputation locally for taking on complex, challenging projects that many builders would not have the knowledge or experience to attempt. Our refurbishments include barn conversions, and we are always sympathetic to the existing structure and aesthetics of these old buildings, expertly blending any additional building or repairs to the original stone work so that you can barely identify new from existing.
